Abstract

1358464 Valves H G RISSMANN 16 Oct 1972 [1 Feb 1972] 47596/72 Heading F2V A valve for a pneumatic tyre comprises an inner sleeve 1 sealed by a seal 6 to an outer sleeve 18 and a valve pin 2 which carries a closure member 10 of elastomeric material having at least one cylindrical surface of reduced diameter (10<SP>1</SP>, 10<SP>11</SP>) such that in the closed condition a seal is effected between a shoulder of the closure member and a radially extending portion of the inner sleeve as well as between the reduced cylindrical portion and the inner wall of the inner seal. In one embodiment when only one reduced portion is provided, the adjacent end of the inner sleeve is provided with a constriction.
