Abstract

1351637 Skirting for floor ventilation W BECKMANN and K-H KAPP 19 April 1971 [16 March 1970 22 April 1970 13 Feb 1971] 24226/71 Headings E1B and E1W A diffusion proof floor covering which may be plastics or plastics coated textile is adhesively secured on a floating floor finish over a mineral fibre insulation layer 15 on the concrete sub-floor 14. The insulation layer extends in a peripheral strip behind the skirting 1 which hooks on a backing strip 2. Apertures 16 in the hooking flanges on the back of the skirting have a different spacing frequency from corresponding apertures in the hooking flanges on the backing strip to permit free ventilation of the sub floor through apertures 13.
