1284281 False floors M MENGERING- HAUSEN 22 Sept 1969 [23 Sept 1968] 46632/ 69 Heading E1W A false floor is formed from triangular, or rectangular grids 6 of box, T or U-section members, each grid being supported at its corners on conventional vertically adjustable supports 1. A steel plate 9 is fixed e.g. by adhesive to the grid and covered with floor covering 10. Holes may be cut in the steel plate for access of conduits and under floor wiring leaving the grid intact. Fire proofing material or insulating material (15) Figs. 5, 6, 7 (not shown) may fill the gaps in the grid and a backing plate (16) Fig. 7 (not shown) may be fixed to the underside of the grid.
