A roofing panel, including a layer of expanded polystyrene, is provided with a backing layer in which are passages providing ventilation across the panel surface. As shown, the passages are formed in a layer of cement m as parallel channels leading to a main peripheral channel. In an embodiment, sand, resin, or grit particles are embedded on the polystyrene layer in adhesive and spaces between the particles allow the ventilation. The panels are shown as provided with an undescribed facing layer and are secured to a concrete roof n by adhesive o, cement, or bitumen.
