Abstract

983,809. Cornice moulding strips. RIEBER & SON PLASTIC INDUSTRI A.S. April 26, 1963 [April 30, 1962], No. 16503/63. Heading E1V. A synthetic plastic moulding strip used to conceal joints in a room at the positions where two faces 15, 16 meet at an angle and having along one longitudinal edge a portion 13 to bear against the face 15 and along the other longitudinal edge a portion 14 to bear against the face 16, has on the side which is to bear against the supporting surface a branch portion 19 capable of forming a continuation of one portion 13 to extend in alignment with it and so to abut the face 16. The respective edges of the strip have thin and flexible lobes 21, 22 extending outwardly from the outer side of the strip and in the non-mounted condition terminating a short distance inside the plane of the strip side which is to bear against the supporting surface, against which the lobes 21, 22 on mounting are thus pressed even when the main portion is not pressed.
