Abstract

1344684 Building blocks HARVARD INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT PTY Ltd 12 Oct 1971 [3 May 1971] 47476/71 Heading E1B A hollow moulded semi-rigid P.V.C. building block 10 adapted to interfit with similar blocks by rabetts 16-19 and projection 22 engaging between grooves 25 has at least one cross-piece 15 which in a wall is aligned with like cross pieces of bricks in adjacent courses to receive reinforced rods 35. The rods may also pass through channel section capping and foundation strips to be secured to a concrete floor and support a roof. The ends 12 and 13 of the block have rectangular apertures. When the blocks are laid in bond a projection at the top of end 12 is engaged between a partition 29 and a flange 30. The wall may be filled with foam plastics. For corners and wall junctions aluminium pillars having formations corresponding to the ends of the blocks are provided.
