Abstract

1413596 Permanent formwork P A WOOD 23 Feb 1973 9120/73 Heading E1B A reinforced concrete wall comprises a plurality of courses of concrete blocks each comprising spaced sidewalls 1 and at least one web 2 having at least one horizontal reinforcement 22 receiving groove 11, vertical reinforcement 23 between the horizontal reinforcement and the adjacent sidewall and concrete cast to fill all the cavities, the wall also including L-shaped corner blocks each limb of which extends a distance from the corner of the L which does not equal the width of the linear blocks. Joints in adjacent courses -are offset and a different form of pillar, corner or junction block is used in alternate courses.
