Abstract

1,043,396. Buildings; wall panels. RAGMUTTA PTY Ltd. June 4, 1963 [June 7, 1962], No. 22244/63. Headings E1A and E1B. A room unit of hexagonal configuration comprises interconnected walls 27A dimensioned to a predetermined module, a roof structure supported thereby and means for securing a wall of one unit to another hexagonal unit whereby said wall serves as a common partition therefor. Each wall panel consists of interfitting plates 27E, 27G of wood, plywood, plastic or concrete with a corrugated metal panel 27F disposed therebetween. Bayonet type slots in the wall panels enable them to be positioned on studded uprights and thereby be connected together and to adjacent units, see Figs. 8- -14 (not shown). The base consists of channel members 43 which are carried by jacks 39 mounted on concrete piers 38 and in turn carry the floor joists 46, 46A and metal decking 50. The roof consists of five like triangular sections 53 and a drainage section 54 for fuller details of which Figs. 17-25 (not shown) should be referred to. Interlocking ceiling units are also provided.
