Systems for alternating-current motors and continuous-current motors.-In a Ward-Leonard system for electric motors, the generator B is driven by a synchronous motor A, the power factor of the system being regulated by an adjustable resistance F in the field E of the motor; the resistance is varied by a regulator H responsive to the load on the motor.
