Abstract

134,119. Bore, J., Skoglund, A., and Westerberg, A. Dec. 31, 1918. Cleaning, fluid-pressure processes for.-A steam pipe-cleaning apparatus, particularly applicable to vertically-arranged smoke-tubes, comprises an elongated nozzle 6 on the side of a member 2 rotatable in a chamber 4 connected to the steam inlet 3. A port 5 is formed in the member 2 on the side diametrically opposite ,to the nozzle 6, and is so dimensioned, as shown in Fig. 6, that the member 2 can be turned through half a revolution with the steam full on, a further turning to point the nozzle away from the smoke-tubes relsulting in shutting off the steam. A turning-key 9 fits into the member 2, which is held in place in the chamber 4 by a collar 7.
