Abstract

Rotary apparatus.-A rotary atomizer g for a liquid fuel burner has an imperforate circumferential wall p made cylindrical for the whole- or greater part of its length. The atomizer may be provided with an inwardly or outwardly turned serrated lip r. One or more grooves s or a series of shallow depressions may be provided in the wall p. In the burner shown, the atomizer is carried by a sleeve e which is mounted on ball bearings d on a central fuel supply tube a and carries vanes f on which low pressure air from a pipe h impinges. The oil supply from a funnel c to the tube a is controlled by a needle valve b. The atomizer may alternatively be rotated mechanically.
