Abstract

556,018. Gas meters. JONES, W., and ROBINSON & CO. (LIVERPOOL), Ltd., J. H. April 13, 1942, No. 4818. [Classes 54 and 135] Oil is supplied by a pipe or gear to the valve chamber of a gas meter through a,tubular housing 2 fitted with a valve 3 normally held against its Seating 5 by a spring 4 retained in position by a cotter-pinned plug 6, the valve or its seating being composed of a resilient substance. The housing 2 is formed with a positioning collar 7 soldered or brazed to the valve chamber wall 8 and is provided with a radial discharge aperture 11. The inlet to the housing is normally closed by a screwed cap 9 and fibre washer 10. Specifications 167,710, [Class 54], and 529,466 are referred to.
