Frame 2 comprises L-profile bars 7, 8, longitudinal bars 7 having lower horizontal flanges 9 and transverse bars 8 having upper horizontal flanges 10. The bars 7, 8 may be of U-profile. The feet 1 have a tubular U, T or H profile and flanges 9 are vertically aligned with the lower surface of the upper legs 5 of feet 1. Bars 8 may be screwed to legs 5. Bars 7 may be separate. A cupboard 11 has screwed thereto hooks 17 engaging the rear flange 9 and clamping plates 18 with bent portions (19) and rotatable by screws (20) to engage front flange 9 Fig. 5 (not shown) and possibly also lower horizontal flanges of bars 8 or legs 5. Rear bar 7 may support the lower edge of the cupboard 11. Rear plates (12), Fig.2 (not shown) may have hooks (14) at their vertical edges for engaging in holes (15) in the bridge 4 of the U-leg, and bent horizontal edges for supporting cupboard 11. The table top 6 is fixed at its sides to flanges 10 of bars 8 and/or to flanges of bars 7 or legs 5 by bent clamps 30, Fig.8. The rear edge of top 6 is secured by a peg 31, Fig. 8, screwed to top 6 and passed through bridge 4. The front edge of top 6 is prevented from warping upwards by brace 34, Fig.9, screwed to top 6 and passed through leg 5 or upright flange of bar 7, and having a bent extremity 36 abutting the leg 5 or flange 9. The table may include a rear junction box 23 for electricity, gas and water conduits. Lower legs 3 of feet 1 may have levelling cups 25. Feet 1 or box 23 may include a U-shaped flexible strap 27 Fig.7 (not shown) for anchoring to a floor bolt 29.
