Abstract

The built in cupboard or wardrobe has a support frame of 'L' shaped telescopic screw-jack posts (1 to 3), and uses the existing wall, floor and wall surfaces as far as possible. To match different room heights, the posts (1, 2) are wedged between the floor and ceiling by using the screw-jacks (10). Overhead rails (15) for suspended sliding doors (16) are then fixed to the post tops. Pelmet boards (13) can conceal the rails and rollers. The doors comprise upper and 16) and lower (17) panels which may be overlapped by differing degrees to accommodate variations in room heights. The bottoms of the posts (5, 6) may be equipped with screw adjustable feet (9). Regularly spaced holes in the posts are used for fixing shelf (21) brackets (18) and coat hanger rails.
