Abstract

A frame for the transport and storage of clothing suspended in a vehicle, has two parallel sections (5) attached to the ends of the container (3) and supported on the floor by uprights (25) with adjustable height feet (20, 22, 23). The parallel sections have holes (13) with slots along their length. Cross bars (14) are supported in these holes, the ends of the bars having grooves so that they can fit into the slots. The frame is made of tubular components and the top rails (6) are attached to the uprights by having rectangular pieces projecting from their underside to fit inside the uprighs. Variations include frames intended to fit closely inside aircraft, in which the cross-bars have a horizontal centre section and inclined outer sections. The cross-bars also have safety devices using extending elastic bindings to prevent coat hangers coming off.
