Abstract

The movable partition can be used as a draught screen, fire-screen, room-divider and such like, and incorporates a number of parallel, vertical uprights (1). Between each pair of adjacent uprights (1) is a top (2) and bottom (3) cross-piece. On each side of each cross-piece (2, 3) are two hinges (4, 5) fixed to the ends of the cross-piece (2, 3), and each hinged to the top or bottom of the upright. Also between each pair of adjacent uprights extends a grill (7) and an in-fill surface (6) fixed at the top and bottom to the top and bottom cross-piece (2, 3). below the uprights or bottom cross-pieces (3) are at least two support legs (8).
