Abstract

956,091. Shelving structures; stands. M. A. OZTEKIN. June 26, 1962, No. 24521/62. Headings A4B and A4H. A knock-down adjustable shelving structure comprises a pair of laterally spaced posts 10 to which are detachably secured shelf units B spaced at their rear edges from the posts to allow the edges of a vertical back and panel 38 to be slid into the space. The shelves consist of steel panels 31 having depending channel shaped skirts 32, 33 and 34 at front and rear and further strengthening members 36 welded to its underside; the side edges of the panels are spot welded to the horizontal flanges 24 at brackets 23 whose vertical flanges 26 have lugs 27 and 28 to engage slots 11 in posts 10. Back panels 38 are held in place by elongated clips 39. Base unit A consists of frames 12 braced at 14 and joined by longitudinal members 13, the frames having lugs 16 and 17 to fit slots 11. Base panel 18 may be of steel, and a kick panel 19 locks into holes 12a. Levelling screws 22 are provided.
