Abstract

1313714 Oil burners H NIELSEN & SON MASKIN FABRIK A/S 22 June 1970 [24 June 1969] 30271/70 Heading F4T An oil atomization burner includes a casing 2 defining an oil passage 1, 3 leading to an outlet formed in one end of the casing, a valve member 6 being movable axially outwardly to open the outlet against the influence of a valve closure spring 9 which is separate from the oil passage 1, 3 and bears against the bottom part 10 of an externally threaded cup-shaped part 12, the pressure of the spring being adjustable by screwing the part 12 into and out of the casing. The valve member 6 is connected to a spindle 4 and extension 5, 8 on which a pressure plate 14, against which the spring 9 also bears, is fixed by lock nuts 15. The valve member 6 is opened by the pressure of the oil in the passage 3, a helical body 7 imparting swirl to the oil, or alternatively it may be unseated manually by operating a knob 18 mounted on the extension 5, 8. That part of the casing into which the cup-shaped part 12 screws is also preferably cup-shaped and the two parts may be fixed relative to each other by a lock nut 19.
