1297466 Decorative arch for supporting plants P A BARNES 4 June 1971 19043/71 Heading A1E An arch for supporting climbing plants comprises mild steel rods connected together to form a frame made up of sections releasably connected at points A, B, C. Each section contains two curved diverging rods 11, connected by bracing rods 13, and two auxilliary rods 14, 15 joined at their top ends A. Each rod 14, 15 is attached to one of each pair of bracing rods 13 the rods 14, 15 also being connected to rods 11 by members 17, 18 at points B, C. A base 16 comprises a square or rectangular plate having holes for the rods 11, 14, 15 and a central hole facilitating bolting the frame into a concrete slab. In a modification, anchoring is achieved by one or more of the rods 11, 14, 15 passing through the plate into the ground.
