826,026. Lattice girders. DONGES STAHLBAU G.m.b.H. April 17, 1956, No 11709/56. Class 20(2) [Also in Group XXII] A welded steel lattice girder of substantially triangular cross-section comprises a wide upper boom a and a narrow lower boom b connected at their sides by lattice bars c, each boom consisting of a single thin-walled sheet steel strip which is hardened by cold working, the upper boom a being bent so as to have an open polygonal form in cross-section, and the lower boom b being bent so as to have an open or closed polygonal form in crosssection. The lower boom b may be filled with concrete. The lattice bars c, which may be inclined to the booms and to adjacent bars in opposite directions, may be of sheet steel strip hardened by cold working.
