588,302. Fencing. HARDWICK, A. R. Oct. 30, 1944, No. 21100. [Class 45] [ Also in Groups X, XII, XIII and XV] Blocks for the construction of openwork walls are of small thickness as compared with their length and breadth and are provided near each end with bores 30a, counterbores 30c and bosses 30b of greater height than the counterbores. In a modification, the bosses are formed as separate boss members and the blocks are provided with further counterbores. The bores may be filled with concrete 37 or receive metal or other connecting rods. Foundation blocks 21, 32 with enlarged bores, separator blocks 33 with a single bore and boss, coping bricks 36 without bosses, and closure plugs 38, 44 for the bores 30a may be provided.
