Class 87 (1) A building block is formed in its upper and lower faces with one or two recesses a interconnected by an aperture or apertures d which open at e into recesses c in the ends of the block. In a modification the apertures are of Y- instead of T-form. In a corner block, one aperture opens into a recess in a side face. The edges of the blocks may be bevelled and recesses may be provided at the edges of the top face to receive metal tie members for cavity walls.
