Abstract

1290518 Electro-photographic apparatus RANK XEROX Ltd 22 Dec 1969 [31 Dec 1968] 62310/69 Headings B8R RL R248 R222 and R288 An electro-photographic apparatus has a transfer station D for transferring a developed electrostatic image from a drum 10 to a sheet 12 fed by rollers 14. The transfer station D has a corotron 16 which attracts the developed image to the sheet 12. A stripping roller 20 spaced slightly apart from the drum 10 has an applied voltage 24, e.g. equal and opposite the polarity of the charge voltage of the transfer corotron, thereby attracting the sheet 12 from the drum 10. In another embodiment corotron (28) Fig. 3 (not shown) connected to an A.C. or negative source neutralizes the charge on the sheet 12.
