Abstract

1282340 Spray carburetters TENNECO Inc 8 April 1970 [29 April 1969] 16787/70 Heading F1B Fuel is supplied to a nozzle 33 in the or each induction passage 14 of a manifold 13 by a piston pump 23 on opening the throttle valve 19 for acceleration. The piston rod 26 is connected to the throttle linkage and the pump delivers through the passage 29 to a pipe 35 connected to the nozzle 33 and through a passage 32 to the carburetter induction passage 21. The carburetter 15 has main and idling fuel circuits and flow through the idling circuit is prevented when the manifold vacuum exceeds a predetermined value, e.g. by a valve or an air bleed.
