Abstract

1278939 Caps for containers KORK-NSEAL Ltd 27 Aug 1969 [27 Aug 1968] 40873/68 Addition to 1224733 Heading B8T A closure cap comprises a metal outer flattopped cap 10 and an inner cap member 12 which may be of tin plate. A sealing liner 22, e.g. P.V.C. plastisol, whose use makes possible the removal of the closure cap by means of only a slight turning force, is compressed in sealing position along a line between the highest port 20 of the rim portion of the bottle neck 21 and the sloping portion 18 of the inner cap member. 12. The diameter of the circular dished portion of the liner 22 is from 1À1x to 1À2x, x being the diameter of the bore of the bottle neck 21.
