Abstract

1,260,128. Stoppers. UNITED GLASS Ltd. 16 Dec., 1969 [16 Dec., 1968], No. 59816/68. Heading B8T. A closure cap 10 snap fits on to a bottle having an upstanding neck portion 2. The cap is provided with a cam surface 15, and the bottle with a cam surface 4, the two cam surfaces matching each other and being of a generally sinusoidal shape. A bead 14 on the cap interacts with a bead 3 on the neck of the bottle to retain the cap on the bottle as a snap fit. To remove the cap from the bottle the cap is rotated so that the two cam surfaces interact with each other forcing the cap from the bottle when the part 15a of the cap cam surface lies against part 4a of the cam surface on the bottle.
