Abstract

1383195 Caps for containers UNITED GLASS Ltd 13 Jan 1972 [14 Oct 1970] 48832/70 Heading B8T A container 1 is provided at its upper end with a frusto-conical portion 2 extending from the rim 3 to an outwardly directed annular bead 4, preferably at a distance of from 3/8 to ¥ inches below it, the distance being such that the bead does not interfere with the mouth of a person drinking from the container. The bead 4 engages bead 7 of a plstics snap-on cap incorporating a disc sealing liner 8 retained in an annular recess 9 immediately below the top of the cap. The container may be of glass.
