Abstract

1,270,975. Motor vehicles. S. G. CARTER. 17 July, 1970 [22 April, 1969], No. 20458/69. Headings B7B and B7H. A vehicle has a main chassis 1 which is circular in plan view mounted on steerable wheels 6, 7 on the longitudinal centre line of the vehicle. The wheels 6, 7 can be moved into the broken line position with a single movement of the steering wheel 2. Side wheels 4, 5 and/or wheels 6, 7 are driven by individual electric motors supplied by D.C. generators driven by a petrol engine. Alternatively, the wheels may be driven by a petrol engine through differential gearing.
