1296877 Driving railway vehicles; hydraulic power supply arrangement SUOMEN AUTOTEOLLISUUS AB OY 4 May 1970 [5 May 1969] 21414/70 Headings B7H and B7L In a system for driving railway wagons in mines, hydraulic wheelhub motors 4 associated with the wheels 3 of at least one wagon 1 are connected to an hydraulic pressure system included in a power plant vehicle 5 of relatively light construction. The power plant vehicle 5 comprises a frame 6, wheels 9, a driving cab 7 and an engine compartment 8 containing an internal combustion engine and a variableoutput hydraulic pump. The pump may be connected to all four wheelhub motors 4 or to only a selected pair. Hydraulic motors for driving the rear wheels 9 of the power plant vehicle 5 are provided for use only when the vehicle 5 is running alone.
