767,420. Motor vehicle steering and driving gear. RHEINMETALL AKT.-GES. Sept. 22, 1954 [Oct. 7, 1953], No. 57440/54. Classes 79(2) and 79(5). [Also in Groups XXX and XXXII] A. driving and steering arrangement for a vehicle provided with wheel carrying arms 3 or 3<SP>1</SP> which are adjustable to vary the track of the vehicle [see Group XXXII] comprises bevel gearing 31, 32, 33 which is operatively connected with steering mechanism on the vehicle frame and which is adapted to rotate through gearing 35, 37 a hollow member 38 serving as a swivel bearing for the cradle of a wheeled truck 4. One or both wheels of the truck are driven through gearing 46, 47, shaft 45 and gearing 43, 44 from a shaft 42, connected through gearing 39, 40, 41 with a driving mechanism.
