Abstract
1,231,988. Sylographic reservoir pens. H. RIEPE, and K. H. DITZE, [trading as RIEPE WERKE]. 9 March, 1970 [10 March, 1969], No. 11228/70. Heading B6P. In a stylographic reservoir pen, the inner tubular body 4 on which a heileal ink equalization or overflow chamber 6 is formed, tapers towards the folder for the tubular writing point 16, and that part of a shank part 2 in which the inner tubular body is mounted is similarly tapered. In Fig. 1, an inverted cup-shaped member 22 is connected to the inner end of the inner tubular body 4 to locate the drop weight 12 within the bore 10. The member 22 is formed with orifices 24 connecting the bore 10 to ink reservoir, and is manufactured from elastic plastics material. The sleeve-shaped shank part 2 has a male screw-thread 34 which is screwed into a female thread in a shank holder 36. The holder 36 is first unscrewed, whereupon the inner tubular body 4 is withdrawn for clearing. In (Fig. 2), the sleeve-shaped shank part 2 is slid on to and off the tubular body 4 over the writing tube 16. In (Fig. 3), the writing tube holder (43) is integral with the sleeveshaped shank part (42), and not the inner tubular member as in Fig. 1. The inner tubular member is slid over a circular flange (44) adjoining the writing tube holder (43), so that the helical equalizing chamber (46) abuts the tapering sleeve-shaped port (42).
