Abstract

1,222,680. Catamaran planing craft. E. J. GARMAN. 8 Oct., 1969 [9 July, 1968], No. 32715/68. Heading B7A. In a power driven waterborne or landborne craft comprising two planing hulls or skis 1, 2, a frame 3, 4, 5 and power unit 60 mounted on the frame, each hull or ski is mounted for pivotal movement about an axis fixed in the frame and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the respective hull or ski. Steering handle 4 adjusts the angular positions of the hulls or skis about their respective pivot axes so that they move in the same sense from their respective central positions. For land use over snow, sand or marshy ground the driving means could be an aerial propeller, a wheel, roller or endless track.
