Abstract

1286681 Amphibious vehicles; cycles; vehicle wheels E O MORAGA 16 June 1969 [29 April 1969] 21881/69 Headings B7A B7C B7E and B7V An amphibious vehicle, e.g. a tricycle, is supported by inflatable floats 13, 17 of flexible material, each provided with a central rib 14 for use on land and ribs 15 for providing propulsion on water. The floats may be spherical, as shown, or cylindrical, or in the form of flattened spheres, Figs. 2 to 4 (not shown). Rear floats 13 may be driven by pedals 10 or a motor. Front float 17 is connected to handle bars 5, a rudder 12 on either side of the float providing steering. A spray guard 18 is mounted behind the front float. The vehicle may be made to a reduced scale as a toy.
