Abstract

Articulated and detachable device for a sail-propelled or engine-driven craft. The invention relates to a device allowing sail or engine navigation with the aid of several floats joined in pairs by a beam acting as a support for the craft. The connections between the floats and the beam, and then between the beam and the craft, are flexible and articulated. It consists of several floats 2 which include at least two mortices 10, a pin 9, two beams acting as tenons 3 sliding in the mortices 4 forming one body with the frame 1. The beams include, at their ends, two inclination (dip) limiters 7, 8 intended to keep the floats at a suitable angle of heel. Between the beams and the frame, dampers 5 or elastic elements 6 enable the vertical flexibility between floats and frame to be adjusted. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for keeping parallel to the surface of the water wide and rapid underwater hulls, of the sailboard-type, of multi-float craft.
