120,512. Jamieson, D. M. March 26, 1918. Stuffing-box joints.-An expansion joint also adapted to give a limited amount of lateral play comprises two members A, B. Packing-rings G contained in rings H, J fit on the spigot member B and may be recessed at L for tightening springs. End rings F are provided and are machined to form ball joints with a shoulder on the member A and a cover plate C which is secured by bolts E. The pipes N, Q are bolted or otherwise secured to the members A, B.
