Abstract

1,195,130. Fluid-operated grabs. DEMAGZUG G.m.b.H. 12 March, 1968 [15 June, 1967], No. 12042/68. Heading B8H. A grab which is operated by a plurality of hydraulic or pneumatic rams 14, 15, Fig. 1, has guiding links 8 which are pivoted to a support 1 and detachably pivoted to the baseplates of the grab-shells. Holes 13 are provided in links 9 so that the attachment points of the rams and the links to the shells may be adjusted. The links are U-shaped and partially enclose the rams. Pivoted guard plates 21 are provided. The upper pivots of the guiding links may be other than coaxial with the pivots of the grabshells. The opening movements of the shells may be synchronized by toothed sectors or link mechanism.
