1477394 Synergistic fungicide compositions ITT INDUSTRIES Inc 10 Sept 1974 [17 Sept 1973] 39428/74 Heading A5E A fungicide composition for the control of plant disease comprises a compound of formula: wherein R is methyl or ethyl; X is fluorine, chlorine, bromine, methyl, ethyl or methoxy; and Y is fluorine, chlorine, bromine or methyl; and a benzimidazolecarbamate of formula: wherein R is methyl, ethyl, isopropyl or secbutyl and R 1 is hydrogen, carbamoyl, acetyl, carboalkoxy, carboaryloxy, benzoyl, thiocarbonyl or thionyl; or a compound which when applied to plants breaks down to form such a benzimidazolecarbamate. Typical fungicides specified are benomyl; methyl 2-benzimidazolecarbamate and a thiophanate. The compositions may be in the form of granules with corncob or a fertilizer as carrier. A particular application is combating blight of turfgrasses.
