Abstract

1,194,542. Cartons. BLACK & DECKER Ltd., and J. WATKINS. 10 April, 1968 [13 April, 1967], No. 16983/67. Heading B8P. A triangular carton is formed from a blank e.g. of double faced corrugated board, by side panels 4 bent up from a base 1 so that a gusset 5 folds inwards along a score line 6 and is trapped by a slot between sides 12 of flaps 9 attached to a lid panel 2 when the carton is closed, to act as a friction lock. A section 15 allows for the thickness of the lid flap 9 when the gusset 5 is bent towards the adjacent side wall 4. Cuts 10 and cut-out portion 14 form triangular panels 8 which lie against the base 1 while panels 7 lie against a third side panel 3 when the panels are folded on the score lines.
