Abstract

[Also in Division F4] A device for regulating the flow of fuel to the burner of a gas-fuelled lighter has a compressible porous washer 10 to which pressure is applied by means of an inverted cup-shaped member 12 to regulate the flow of gas and a distribution plate 13, with radial grooves 14, located between the member 12 and the washer 10 so that fuel fed from the reservoir by a wick 6 and passing through the washer passes through a channel 15 obturated by a seal 19 and via an annular passage 20 and ports 24 to the central bore 25 of the burner. Rotation of a member 2 causes axial movement of the member 12 to regulate the gas flow.
