Abstract

1,166,432. Rolling. SIEMAG SIEGENER MASCHINENBAU G.m.b.H. 10 Jan., 1968 [14 Jan., 1967], No. 1412/68. Heading B3M. The horizontal rolls 1 of a universal stand 7 are replaceable by sliding a subframe 8, which carries the rolls, out of the stand on rails 9, removing the upper roll 1, and lifting the subframe off the lower roll 1. A pair of edging rolls 2 are retained in position in the subframe during these steps. The subframe may then be lifted on to a replacement lower roll, be provided with an upper roll, and be repositioned within the stand.
