Abstract

1,163,611. Making steel strip; working at specified temperatures. NIPPON KOKAN K.K. 11 Aug., 1966 [10 Aug., 1965], No. 36047/66. Headings B3A and B3V. [Also in Division C7] In a process for the production of decarburized deep-drawing quality steel strip the latter is formed by hot rolling, preferably with a finishing temperature of 800-890‹ C., followed by cold-rolling with a reduction of 50-80%. As exemplified ingots were hot rolled to 2.3 mm. finishing at 860‹ C., coiled at 570‹ C., and coldrolled in a tandem mill to 0.8 mm. A two-stage decarburizing anneal followed, with a final temper rolling of 10%.
