Abstract
1438385 Improving physical properties; making steel sheet SUMITOMO METAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 13 June 1973 [13 June 1972 29 Dec 1972] 28240/73 Headings B3V and B3H [Also in Division C7] A steel containing by wt. is hot and cold rolled to strip not more than 3 mm. thick and then annealed at a temperature between 620‹ C. and AC 3 . Preferably the steel is cooled at < 100‹ C./hr. after annealing, while when Ti and Nb are both absent the minimum annealing temperature is 710‹ C. Hot rolling should be finished at not less than 800‹ C. while cold rolling should effect at least 30% reduction. The steel is used for motor vehicle bodies.
