Abstract

1,148,708. Coaxial cables. KABELUND METALLWERKE GUTEHOFFNUNGSHUTTE A.G. 25 March, 1968 [25 March, 1967], No. 14178/68. Heading H1A. A thin metal band, coated on one side with dielectric, is formed into a longitudinally slit tubular outer conductor of a coaxial cable, the coating being on its inner surface. The inner conductor is then introduced, the slit closed and finally the outer conductor is brought to a required cross-section e.g. by corrugation. The dielectric coating can consist of strips arranged parallel to the edge of the band and the outside of the outer conductor may have a plastics covering.
