1,207,117. Coaxial cables. FELTEN & GUILLEAUME CARLSWERK A.G. 13 May, 1969 (12 June, 1968), No. 24240/69. Heading H1A. A co-axial cable has an outer conductor 3 formed of braided strips 4 each consisting of parallel wires 5 of oval cross-section having their longer axes substantially parallel to the surface. A layer of metal foil may be provided co-axial with the outer conductor. The wires 5 are of copper and the ratio of the lengths of the geometrical axes of the oval cross-section may be 3 : 2 or 3 : 1. The outer conductor may also be formed of two or more layers of braided strips.
