1296780 Cables KABEL-UND METALLWERKE GUTEHOFFNUNGSHUTTE AG 5 June 1970 [30 June 1969] 27246/70 Addition to 1260533 Heading H1A A cable has an outer sheath 3 composed of a fire-resistant material prepared according to the method of claim 1 of the parent Specification. The cable core 1, which may consist of stranded conductors, insulated with polyvinyl chloride, has a metal layer 2 underneath the outer sheath. The metal layer may be of aluminium and formed from foil, tape or individual wires. The layer may be formed into a tube with overlapping edges which may be adhesively bonded or welded together, the outer sheath being applied by extrusion, preferably in the same operation.
