Abstract

1,129,827. Glazing, window frames. HERELVEST INVESTMENTS Ltd. 22 March, 1966, No. 12475/66. Heading E1J. A glazing frame comprises rails 10 each with a glazing slot 11 for a pane of glass and a male interlocking formation 18 at least at each rail end, and a bracket 20 to unite adjacent ends of two rails with a female formation 22. The bracket 20 when assembled lies flush with the mouth of the channel 17 in the rail 10 and may have two integral limbs at right angles to interconnect two rails at a frame corner. The bracket 20 carries a projection 25 to constitute a hinge or catch. The edge of the rail opposite the edge with the glazing slot 11 is preferably a dovetail groove 23. The formation 18 may be T- shaped or dove-tailed. The rails are mitred where they meet. In a modified bracket this necessity is avoided by having a separate corner block (Fig. 5).
