Abstract

1,172,251. Sashless sliding windows. P. H. PLASTICS Inc. 4 March, 1968 [14, March, 1967], No. 11837/67. Addition to 1,065,854. Heading E1J. The header track for the sashless. sliding window claimed in Patent Specification 1,065,854 comprises a vinyl extrusion box member 12 provided with a pair of downward opening recesses each having a pair of inwardly turned lips 19 [forming a slot at the lower end of the recesses, each recess containing a resilient foam strip 13 and a movable pane receiving member 14 having a pair of horizontal flanges 18 overlying the lips 19 to retain the member 14 in its slot and each said member 14 having a pair of slots 15 receiving the slidable sashless panes 16. Each slot 15 has an undercut groove 17 for accommodating a pile weather strip. A vinyl covering 20 for the header 10 interlocks with the box member 12 through the overlapping portions 21 and 22.
