Abstract

1515305 Cavity closers RADWAY PLASTICS Ltd 16 Sept 1975 [17 July 1974] 31605/74 Heading E1B A cavity closer comprises an elongate resilient member 1 of skeletal form for insertion in the cavity, a cover plate having formations 6 for engaging flanges 5 on the member 1 to close the cavity and a key member 16 for insertion in the filling piece to tie it to the wall. Ties may additionally engage with the cover plate in T-section grooves. Galvanised wire keying members may secure both the cover plate and the filling member. The cover plate may be stepped to seat a window frame and may include a distance piece to provide an adjustable seating.
