Abstract

1,215,442. Glass runs. CUSTOM MADE WINDOW CO. Ltd. 5 Jan., 1968 [7 Oct., 1966], No. 45044/66. Heading E1J. An aluminium channel extrusion 2 has a P.V.C. [double channel] plastics (P.V.C.) lining 4 providing a single or as shown double channel keyed into it by a projecting shoulder 6 fitting into a recess 8 in the lining, the side walls and channel being in contact with each other and the bottom walls 10 of the lining being arched to allow the window to slide thereon. The lining has a bead or rib 12 to improve the seal between the lining 4 and the window. The extrusion 2 is secured so a window frame by the portion 14 and the boss 16 receives a self-tapping screw for joining mitred rails together. A e.g. neoprene, sealing strip may be received in the C-section channel 18 to seal against an existing window.
