Abstract

1510157 Window frames E & E KAYE Ltd and D B PLUM 12 Aug 1976 [3 Sept 1975] 36297/75 Headings E1J and E1R An elongate member e.g. of extruded aluminium 10 for forming a main frame for a window or door comprises a web 13 with a flange 14 and a second flange 19 which with the wall 22, 23 forms a water channel 21. A further flange 16 contacts the wall 17. Drain holes 23a are provided in the channel 21 of bottom frame member. A glazing bead 25, with a groove 26 engaging the ridge 24, and seals 27, 30 retain the pane 12. Where an opening light 31, 32 is provided (Fig. 3) the flange 14 and wall 22 from contact surfaces for sealing strips held in grooves 34, 36.
